Years of Expertise & Professionalism
Hi, I’m Rae-Anne Cohen (R-AC), a dedicated private tutor with over 13 years of experience specialising in the English education system. I have helped countless students secure places in private and grammar schools, tailoring my teaching to suit each learner’s unique needs.
Since 2022, I have been a school governor and am currently the designated governor for the school’s disadvantaged students, making sure that those who are vulnerable are seen and valued.

Personal Investment
My passion for education has driven me to expand my expertise, ensuring I can support students of all ages, backgrounds, and academic goals. I love seeing the moment a challenging topic clicks for a student—their confidence grows, and that big smile appears. My mission is to make learning engaging, effective, and rewarding, helping every student reach their full potential.
Education has been and always will be a big part of my life. So if you would like me to teach you or your child(ren), send me an email and let’s embark on a new exciting journey together!
KCL Teaching Position
My latest teaching post has been (and currently is) a graduate teaching assistant at King’s College London. This role allows me to bridge the gap between academic literature and current political/social events. I offer personalised support to help students grasp complex theoretical concepts and build confidence in their studies and essay writing skills. I am committed to fostering an inclusive and dynamic classroom but also encourage regular one-to-one meetings so that they feel comfortable with assignments and reaching their academic goals.

P.S. I have an active Enhanced DBS!
BA
Arabic and Spanish
I am a lover of languages and cultures! Whether that be via food, travelling, history, photography, literature or art – it’s amazing! This degree provided me the ability to live in Jordan and Spain and experience Middle Eastern and Spanish life!
MA
Educational Leadership and Management
Specialising in the English education system, this degree allowed me to critically review education and ways in which the system privileges some and marginalises others.
PhD
Racialised Emotions in Higher Education
Education is more than academics. Students’ wellbeing and social life are also factors that impact learning and academic success. Establishing new knowledge in the field of emotions and education is my current interest and latest pending qualification.
